We aim to supply shipping containers and related products that match the description, specifications, configuration and condition agreed at the time of purchase. Containers are inspected before dispatch or collection to help ensure they meet the agreed requirements and are in satisfactory condition.
A return or replacement may be considered where:
Customers should contact MT Containers Limited as soon as reasonably possible if they identify an issue with their container or product. Photographs and relevant order or invoice information may be requested to help assess the matter. Nothing in this policy is intended to limit or exclude any rights available to customers under applicable New Zealand consumer protection legislation.
Shipping containers are large and specialised products that are ordered, transported and delivered specifically for customers. For this reason, change-of-mind returns are not automatically accepted.A change-of-mind return may be considered at the discretion of MT Containers Limited, taking into account the condition of the container, whether it has been delivered or used, transport arrangements and any costs associated with collection.Where a change-of-mind return is approved, the container must generally remain in substantially the same condition as when it was supplied.
Because shipping containers are large and require specialised transportation, MT Containers Limited may arrange collection using a suitable truck or transport carrier where a return has been approved.Customers are not required to transport a shipping container to a standard retail store or drop-off location. For an approved return, MT Containers Limited will advise the customer of the collection arrangements. Customers must ensure that the container is reasonably accessible to the agreed collection vehicle and that suitable site access is available.Where applicable under New Zealand consumer protection legislation, MT Containers Limited will meet reasonable return or collection costs where required.
Before approving a return, MT Containers Limited may request photographs, videos, order information or other relevant details to assess the condition of the container and the nature of the issue. The container should remain in substantially the same condition as when it was delivered or collected, except where the return relates to a defect, delivery damage or another issue covered by applicable consumer rights.MT Containers Limited may inspect the container before finalising an approved return, replacement or refund.Customers are encouraged to inspect their container upon delivery and confirm that the size, condition, grade and configuration correspond with their order or invoice.
Where a refund is approved, it will generally be processed using the original payment method.Refund processing times may vary depending on the payment provider, bank or card issuer.Any refund will be handled according to the circumstances of the return and applicable New Zealand consumer protection requirements.
Where appropriate, MT Containers Limited may offer a replacement or exchange for an eligible product. Exchanges and replacements are subject to product availability and approval. If the replacement container has a different price, any applicable price difference will be discussed with the customer before the exchange is processed.
If a container arrives damaged, defective, materially different from the agreed description or specifications, or otherwise does not meet applicable legal requirements, customers should contact MT Containers Limited as soon as possible. Please provide photographs of the container and affected areas where possible, together with the order or invoice details.MT Containers Limited will assess the issue and, where applicable, provide an appropriate remedy in accordance with the circumstances and applicable New Zealand consumer protection legislation. For containers damaged during delivery, customers should notify the delivery driver immediately where possible and record any visible damage on the delivery documentation before accepting the delivery.
Containers that have been custom-built, modified, converted or specially configured according to a customer's individual requirements may not be eligible for change-of-mind returns. This may include customised office containers, modified shipping containers, containers with added doors or windows, internal fit-outs, electrical installations, plumbing, painting, insulation or other customer-specific modifications. This section does not affect any statutory rights that cannot legally be excluded under applicable New Zealand law.
